Online Resources for Christian Moms

So much of what we do today revolves around our smart phones while we shuffle children from here to there, run errands and try to keep up with the busy lives we have created for ourselves. Why not utilize the that smart phone and access to online resources to keep you motivated and encouraged in your daily walk with the Lord? For Christian Moms, or any Christian for that fact, this list of online resources is a great place to start when thinking about how to be on the cutting edge of the technology and still linked to Christians all over the world.

Here goes…

1. Podcasts
I wasn’t really sold on the podcast before I actually forced myself to start listening to them. I don’t know why, but it never occurred to me to start listening while I sewed drape after drape in my basement. It’s technically the same thing as music, right? Nope… better! Here is one of my picks for a Podcast the Christian Mom HAS to listen to:

God Centered Mom – Heather McFadyen
Heather is such a breath of fresh air. She has 4 young boys and is just like you and me. She interviews some amazing guests and isn’t afraid to bring up topics that many of us don’t necessarily want to talk about, but are big elephants in the room. (Hint: Listen to the God Centered Mom podcast, Episode 25 with Mary Flo Ridley)

Inspired to Action Podcast
Kat is adorable. She truly loves the Lord and her calling to help inspire and reach other moms is evident in her podcasting and blogging. If you haven’t listened to Kat, you need to go and check out her site and podcasts right now!

2. Online Prayer Challenges
While I haven’t seen many of these available on the web yet, I can tell you that WE have a prayer challenge starting January 2, 2015. We will be posting the information at the beginning of December, so be sure that you are signed up for our weekly email list so you don’t miss it!

3. Online Bible Studies and Communities
If you don’t know where to start in your community or feel as though you don’t have a consistent time to devote to attending a bible study in person, why not attend one online? Here are a few resources specifically geared toward women:

Proverbs 31 Ministries
Proberbs 31 has some great bible studies that are available online, at your own time and typically delivered through email. They have a variety of bible studies throughout the year and an informative section on how what an online bible study is.

Fearfully Made Family
2015 is going to be an amazing year! We are currently researching and planning an online bible study to begin in February 2015. More information will be available around December 15, 2014 so that you can put the book on your Christmas list! Be sure to sign up for our weekly email list as to not miss this information as well.

4. Prayer Networks
If you need some encouragement and like the thought of social media to get some, there are a few places to go for some inspiration!

Think Instagram meets the Prayer world! It’s images, prayers and scripture 100% of the time and communities that encourage and pray with you. You can choose to lurk the site or join in with a pledge to pray for someone else or even ask for prayers for needs in your own family.

While the lure of beautiful outfits, chisled bodies and decadent desserts might hold your attention on this popular social media network, it doesn’t have to! There are some AMAZING resources for Christian inspiration on Instagram. Start with the Fearfully Made Family page!
